Job Summary
Experienced Diesel Technician responsible for routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a Class 8 fleet (trucks and trailers). Perform preventative maintenance, inspect components, troubleshoot electrical and engine/transmission issues, address DEF/emissions systems, and collaborate to minimize downtime while ensuring DOT compliance. Requires strong diesel diagnostics, proficiency with diagnostic software, ability to read manuals, and a valid CDL; MIG welding is a plus. ASE certifications prioritized, with reimbursement provided.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with Heavy-Duty Class 8 trucks and trailers or similar equipment
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for diesel engines, transmissions, and vehicle systems
- Proficiency with diagnostic software and using a laptop for manuals
- Experience with aftertreatment systems and electrical diagnostics
- MIG welding is a plus
- A minimum of two ASE Certifications within the first 6 months of employment (T-series ASE Certifications highly valued)
- Valid Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to perform physical tasks and maintain attendance
