Job Summary
Diagnose and repair diesel and reefer tractor and truck equipment, including all components such as braking, electrical, and steering systems. Perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspections using correct procedures, then identify and replace broken parts with new or reconditioned ones. Road test vehicles to verify safe operation and utilize hydraulic jacks to raise equipment. Requires 10+ years of diesel/reefer tech experience, a clean MVR, and ownership of a tool set. Pays $36-$40 per hour with medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, and PTO benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school education or GED
- In-depth knowledge of all hand, air and power tools required for this industry
- Basic understanding and knowledge of welding and Oxy/Acetylene cutting procedures
- Overall complete knowledge with comprehensive truck/trailer repair
- Extensive diagnostic and repair knowledge
- 10+ years of diesel/reefer tech experience
- Clean MVR
- Own set of tools
