Job Summary
Diesel Fleet Mechanic responsible for performing quality preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on company-owned equipment, including tractors, trailers, refrigerated units and support equipment. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing equipment, disassembling/reassembling heavy truck components, tire maintenance, offsite repairs, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Must be able to read repair manuals, fill out repair orders, use diagnostic software, and demonstrate strong customer service skills; emphasis on OEM/DOT specifications and teamwork to support company objectives. Location: Temple, TX; shift rotating schedule. Overtime eligible with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Drivers License
- Comprehensive Background Check
- Pre-employment Hair Test drug screening
- Ability to read and understand repair manuals
- Ability to use and learn diagnostic software used on tractor/trailers
- Must possess excellent computer skills
- Entry-level knowledge of vehicle systems and basic vehicle maintenance preferred
