Job Summary
Lead the secure Memory Care/Dementia Unit by supervising nursing staff, conducting clinical rounds, and managing admissions, care plans, and quality measures. Implement dementia-specific interventions, behavior management strategies, fall prevention protocols, and psychotropic medication monitoring while ensuring regulatory compliance. Coordinate family communication and maintain clinical standards for residents with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. Requires current RN/LPN license in New Jersey, Dementia Care Certification, and minimum one year of unit management experience. Join Morris View Healthcare Center in Morristown, NJ.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN/LPN license in New Jersey
- Dementia Care Certification (CDP or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Unit Manager/Nurse Manager in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience caring for residents with dementia and behavioral health needs in a secured memory care environment
- Strong knowledge of dementia-specific interventions, behavior management, fall prevention, psychotropic medication monitoring, and regulatory compliance
- Proven leadership experience supervising nursing staff, conducting clinical rounds, managing admissions, care plans, quality measures, and family communication
