Job Summary
Experienced Computer Repair Technician sought in Collierville, TN to diagnose, repair, and maintain computer hardware, software, and network systems. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals; installing/configuring/upgrading operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and software; removing viruses/malware, performing data recovery, and optimizing systems; troubleshooting hardware issues (motherboards, RAM, hard drives, power supplies); repairing/replacing components (screens, keyboards, internal parts); maintaining wired and wireless networks; providing customer/staff technical support; documenting repair processes and parts used; ensuring systems are secure and efficient; staying current with new repair techniques. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED (associate degree or technical certification preferred), 3+ years in computer repair or IT support, strong hardware/OS/networking knowledge, experience with diagnostic tools and repair software, and ability to troubleshoot independently. Preferred certifications include CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, and Microsoft or Apple certifications. Strong problem-solving, customer service, and documentation skills are essential.
