Job Summary
Assemble and fasten materials to build frameworks, props, cabinets, doors, and wooden fixtures using hand tools, wood screws, nails, dowel pins, glue, and power tools. Build or repair floors, trim, windows, and hardware while measuring cutting lines and marking materials with rulers, pencils, and gauges. Inspect ceiling tiles, wall coverings, siding, glass, and woodwork to detect damage, then remove defective parts and replace them per blueprints and sketches. Shape or cut materials to specified measurements using saws and machines, ensuring structural trueness with a plumb bob. Follow established safety rules and regulations to maintain a clean environment while working at construction job sites outdoors in the elements. Duties may change based on project requirements; OSHA 10 certification is preferred.
