Experienced CMP Process Engineer (Evergreen)

Job Summary

Develop, start up, optimize, and sustain CMP processes for yield, cost, and reliability improvements. Troubleshoot manufacturing issues using failure analysis, FMEA, 8D, SPC, and FDC methods to drive yield improvement and risk management initiatives. Qualify and deploy new process baselines, tools, and materials for NPI and site transfers while evaluating equipment, materials, and supplier performance. Partner with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure process stability and portability across development and high-volume manufacturing.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field OR Master's degree OR PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
  • 10+ years of CMP industry experience
  • Experience with dielectric and metal CMP, including slurry-pad interactions
  • Hands-on experience with CMP tools and endpoint systems
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently

Desired Qualifications

  • Understanding of semiconductor device physics and DRAM function
  • Deep knowledge of CMP mechanisms, failure modes, and chemical interactions
  • Experience with SPC, FDC, RMS, or APC systems
  • Familiarity with Leveraging AI assisted tools for operational efficiency or coding
