Job Summary

The Clinical Nurse – GI Endoscopy Interventional Procedures provides patient-centered nursing care in pre-operative and GI endoscopy labs, collaborating with GI physicians, anesthesiologists and procedure technicians to support advanced GI procedures (ERCP, EUS, POEM, etc.). Responsible for developing individualized care plans, advocating for patients, ensuring safe environments, and contributing to education, team goals, and quality improvement within Northwestern Memorial Hospital's Digestive Health Center.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an NLN accredited school/college of nursing
  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or higher
  • Current State of Illinois, Registered Professional Nurse license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR through American Heart Association
  • Analytic ability (conceptual and quantitative)
  • Oral, listening and written communication skills
  • Strong human relation skills to interact effectively and collaborate with others in difficult situations
  • Use of a keyboard to enter or retrieve data
