Job Summary
Assist in designing water transmission and distribution systems, pumping stations, conveyance systems, and treatment plant expansions for municipal utilities projects. Manage project tasks, design, and permitting while coordinating construction efforts and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Maintain high-quality plan sets, check the work of others, and monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules. Perform engineering tasks under mentorship and receive training in plan production, project financials, and client interactions. This role is based in Kimley-Horn's Las Vegas office and requires a Civil EIT with 2+ years of municipal wastewater design experience.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant municipal wastewater engineering design experience
- Bachelors or Masters from an ABET accredited university in the field of Civil Engineering
- "Engineer-In-Training" or "Engineering Intern" certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
- Experience with designing pipelines, pump stations, and hydraulic modeling calculation
- Experience using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Communicating technical thoughts clearly and concisely
- Excellent technical writing skills
- Detail-oriented with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- This is not a remote position
