Job Summary
Assist clients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene. Provide mobility assistance, transfers, and ambulation support while preparing meals, managing medication reminders, and performing light housekeeping. Accompany clients to appointments and report changes in condition to the care team. Follow individualized care plans and agency protocols with RN oversight on every case. Current shifts include Thursday 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM in Rocky River and 24/7 coverage in North Ridgeville. Requires high school diploma, one year of caregiving experience preferred, HHA certification, current CPR, and valid driver's license. BrightStar Care offers weekly pay, bonuses, and medical/dental/vision insurance.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current CPR certification
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with client mobility
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while following client care plans
- Ability to maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum one year of caregiving, home care, assisted living, or direct care experience preferred
- HHA, STNA, CNA, or Nursing Assistant training preferred
