Job Summary
Provide direct care and assistance to individuals in a residential setting; assist with personal hygiene tasks (bathing, grooming, dressing); lift and transfer individuals using proper body mechanics and assistive devices; maintain a clean, organized living environment; implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors; respect resident rights, privacy, and confidentiality; drive residents to appointments, activities, or outings; safely transport patients to and from medical appointments, errands, or community care locations; document transportation activities in accordance with facility policies; provide emotional support and reassurance to patients during transit.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Valid up-to-date car insurance
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Must pass background checks
- CPR certification
- HIPAA knowledge or compliance
