Job Summary
Provide one-on-one care in the client's home setting, assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transfers, mobility, meals, and companionship. Follow the client care plan and safety instructions while observing and reporting changes in condition, behavior, or care needs. Complete timely and accurate documentation for all client interactions. This role supports clients throughout Sarasota and Charlotte County via the Venice office. Candidates must have previous caregiving experience, a valid driver's license, and current CPR certification. Shifts include 12-hour, day, weekend, and overnight options.
Required Qualifications
- Previous caregiving experience
- Valid driver's license
- Auto insurance
- Reliable transportation
- Current hands-on CPR certification
- TB test within the last 6 months
- Chest X-ray within the last 5 years
- Eligibility for Level 2 AHCA background screening
- Reliable, patient, professional, and able to communicate clearly
Desired Qualifications
- HHA certificate
- CNA license
- Strong hands-on caregiving experience
- Transfers and ambulation assistance
- Gait belt use
- Hoyer lift experience
- Bedbound care
- Dementia care, including clients who may be confused, agitated, or resistant to care
