Job Summary
Experienced Care Professional sought to join Home Instead East LA as a CAREGiver providing non-medical in-home care to aging adults in Alhambra, East Los Angeles, Monterey Park, San Gabriel, South Pasadena, and Rosemead. Responsibilities include companionship and conversation, light housekeeping, meal preparation, medication reminders, accompanying to doctor visits and errands, grooming and bathing assistance, toileting and incontinence support, and specialized dementia care. Requires completion of California Home Care Aid Registry, DMV check, and drug screen; TB skin test or chest X-ray with negative result within 90 days; negative Covid-19 test within 3 days prior to start; valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a reliable car; and being a registered Home Care Aide. Includes competitive pay above minimum wage, benefits (medical/dental/vision eligibility, 401K with employer match, PTO, paid sick time, training), 24/7 office support, mileage reimbursement, and opportunities for advancement. Shifts offered vary based on client needs, with potential for full-time scheduling over time.
Required Qualifications
- Successfully complete the State of California Dept of Social Services Home Care Aid Registry requirements
- DMV check
- Drug Screen
- Tuberculosis (TB) Skin Test or Chest X-Ray with NEGATIVE result within the past 90 days
- Covid-19 Test with NEGATIVE result within 3 days prior to start date
- Possess a valid driver's license, valid auto insurance and a safe and reliable car
- Must be a registered Home Care Aide
