Job Summary
Decorate cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and other bakery items according to customer requests and store standards, including creating custom designs for birthdays, weddings, holidays, and special occasions. Maintain a clean and organized work area while assisting with baking, packaging, and displaying finished products. Take customer orders to provide friendly, knowledgeable service and manage inventory of decorating supplies and ingredients. Collaborate with the bakery team to develop new designs and seasonal offerings. This role requires at least 1–2 years of experience and knowledge of techniques like buttercream and fondant. Weekends and holidays are mandatory as they are Holiday Market's busiest times.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- At least 1–2 years of experience as a cake decorator or in a similar bakery role
- Knowledge of various decorating techniques (buttercream, fondant, piping, etc.)
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Weekends and holidays are mandatory
