Job Summary
Fill tables and cases with cakes, rotating product to ensure only the freshest items are available for sale. Ice and decorate cakes by applying prepared icing using spatulas and bags, while reading recipes and measuring ingredients. Take special orders from guests over the telephone and in person, accurately recording them on Bakery products. Maintain safety and sanitation methods, including proper lifting up to 50 pounds, equipment operation, and daily cleanups to meet department standards. Follow code dating procedures and product rotation to meet out-of-stock percentage goals and generate sales.
Required Qualifications
- Satisfactory completion of job specific skills assessment
- 6 to 12 months experience
- successful completion of the Giant Eagle Apprenticeship program
- No High School diploma required
- Up to 50 pounds
- At least 18 years of age
