Job Summary
Diagnose and repair Cadillac vehicles to manufacturer standards, performing advanced electrical, drivability, engine, transmission, suspension, steering, brake, and HVAC diagnostics and repairs. Utilize OEM diagnostic equipment and scan tools to complete repair documentation and inspections thoroughly while communicating effectively with Service Advisors and management. Stay current on GM and Cadillac technologies, repair procedures, and training. Minimum 3 years of professional automotive technician experience required with strong mechanical and diagnostic abilities. Flat-rate pay of $25.00 to $40.00 per flagged hour based on experience, skill level, certifications, and productivity.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of professional automotive technician experience
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic abilities
- Experience diagnosing and repairing electrical and drivability concerns
- Proficiency with modern diagnostic equipment and scan tools
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to maintain productivity and quality standards in a flat-rate environment
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years of automotive technician experience preferred
- 2+ years of dealership technician experience preferred
- Previous experience with Cadillac, GM, Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, Ford, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, or RAM vehicles strongly preferred
- ASE Certifications preferred
- GM or Cadillac factory training preferred
- Master Technician level experience highly desired
- State Inspection License preferred
- Proven track record performing engine repair, transmission replacement, electrical diagnostics, and major mechanical repairs
- Experience producing consistent hours in a flat-rate pay plan
