Job Summary
Direct guest contact as a Barista: describe menu items, suggest drinks, provide information on blends, techniques, ingredients, and allergens; assist with food preparation and beverage service from simple to elaborate drinks; maintain sanitation of work areas and equipment; monitor temperatures of storage and equipment; uphold health and safety standards; stock stations; operate cash registers and payment systems; maintain a neat appearance and customer-ready demeanor; work in both indoor and outdoor settings with potential exposure to higher noise levels; ability to stand for long periods, move, bend, reach, and lift up to 30 lbs; participate in a friendly, efficient service culture and contribute to a positive guest experience; benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k), employee discounts, referral bonuses, and opportunities for growth.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (if stated)
- previous barista experience preferred
- ability to stand for 8-10 hours
- lift up to 30 lbs
- ability to work in warm/cool environments
- tolerance of noise
- tolerance of allergens (peanuts, egg, dairy, gluten, soy)
- uniform provided and worn
- reliable punctuality
- friendly demeanor
- basic cash handling/ POS operation
- food safety awareness
