Experienced Baker - Bid

Bake prepared and scratch products for the Bakery cases following established recipes and scratch procedures; operate the proof box and maintain proper baking times and temperatures to ensure freshly baked goods. Provide excellent guest service by greeting customers, answering questions, and making product suggestions. Maintain safety and sanitation standards, rotate products to ensure freshness, manage special orders, and assist in keeping the Bakery area clean and organized. Knowledge of ingredients and their purposes in scratch baked goods; assist in backroom, cooler, and freezer tasks; contribute to stocking displays and responding to customer needs with friendly, proactive service. Prior bakery experience or completion of the Giant Eagle Apprenticeship program preferred; role requires lifting up to 50 pounds and adherence to code dating procedures.
