Job Summary
Provide technical, design, and informational support for basic production, product support, or in-service issues on Boeing Commercial airplanes. Troubleshoot system problems consistent with operational protocols and investigate long-term issues to assist airline customers in resolving real-time technical problems. Create and provide basic technical documentation, including Fleet Team Digest articles and Service Letters, in accordance with engineering processes. Assist in designing interim and final engineering solutions to return grounded airplanes to revenue service, while conducting root cause analysis for complex design non-conformances. Work onsite in Seal Beach, CA, with 10% domestic and international travel to lead technical review meetings. This role supports Boeing's 24/7/365 fleet operations, requiring flexible hours and on-call availability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- 3+ years of experience in an engineering discipline
- Experience working with systems engineering and integration of complex systems
- Willing to work flexible hours, including on call support as needed (including weekends and holidays)
- Must be able to travel 10% of the time domestically and internationally to Airlines to lead Technical / Executive review meetings and address complex technical issues
- Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements
- Must be a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 (U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
- Must be willing to work onsite in Seal Beach, CA
- Must be willing to work flexible hours and/or non-standard shifts to support fleets
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years of project management experience
- Experience in the area of Displays, Communications and Navigation (e.g. VHF/HF, SATCOM, LRRA, ISS, INR, TCAS, GPS)
- Experience presenting to customers, stakeholders and teams
- Ability to collaborate with multiple team functions
- Willingness to expand into technical areas without prior experience
- Desire to continuously improve our airplanes
- Good verbal and written communication skills
