Job Summary
The Automotive Technician, reporting to the Store and Service Managers, performs basic and advanced car maintenance and repair tasks, inspects vehicles for potential problems, and troubleshoots issues to ensure optimal vehicle performance and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include applying in-depth automotive repair knowledge, delivering high-quality service, diagnosing problems, inspecting/replacing defective parts, performing preventative maintenance, and maintaining a safe, clean work area. Minimum 2 years of professional automotive service/diagnostic experience; ASE certification preferred but not required; must have tools and a valid driver’s license; able to pass a background screen; strong communication and customer-service skills; willingness to work Saturdays. Location: Huntsville, AL. Physical requirements include standing, bending, and occasional heavy lifting. All information kept confidential per EEO guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ automotive service, automotive mechanic, and/or engine diagnostic experience in a professional capacity
- ASE Certification preferred, but not required
- Must have Technician Tools
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background screen
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Top-notch customer service skills with a desire to build long term trust and relationships with our customers
- Willingness to work Saturdays
