Job Summary
Automotive Service Advisor serves as the vital link between customers and the service department, greeting customers, assessing vehicle concerns, and recording needs. You’ll prepare detailed repair orders with labor and parts estimates, communicate inspection results, and recommend corrective actions. You’ll explain costs, secure authorization for additional work, advise on preventive maintenance, schedule service appointments, coordinate with technicians to meet promised timeframes, and implement quality control to ensure customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years prior experience in automotive service preferred but not required
- Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair processes is a plus
- Proficiency with computer systems and service scheduling software
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
