Job Summary

Provide all vehicle glass repair, replacement, and recalibration services at Safelite shops or Mobile Glass Shops, focusing on safety, quality, and exceptional customer service while cleaning customer vehicles after every job. Recalibrate automotive safety systems by troubleshooting and completing diagnostic testing using Safelite's tools, technologies, and handheld Mobile Resource Management systems. Safely operate company and customer vehicles throughout the workday, communicating with scheduled customers in-person, via text, and on the phone to present and sell promotional items and services. Perform other duties as assigned while complying with all policies and standards.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma GED/Equivalent
  • Valid state-issued driver's license
  • Safelite SafeTechTM certification
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend and twist body
  • Ability to use a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle in accordance with all federal, state and local laws
  • Agreement to be monitored via in-cab vehicle safety camera / video surveillance technology
  • Ability to safely work outside (in a wide variety of weather conditions and extreme temperatures) for extended periods
  • Ability to work with chemicals (including but not limited to flammable chemicals), as applicable per the Safelite Way of Fitting
  • Ability to work scheduled days, with flexibility on start and end times to accommodate customer's needs
  • Proficiency in using computerized diagnostic tools to complete recalibrations and trouble-shoot issues
  • Problem-solving and ability to trouble-shoot issues, independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to read, write and interpret the English language and technical directions
  • Ability to communicate orally (via phone) and written (via computer or other electronic means)
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance, adhering to Company uniform and PPE policies
  • Willingness and ability to maintain stable performance under professional or personal pressure and/or opposition
  • Pre-employment screenings, including background checks and/or drug screenings
  • Attestation of COVID-19 vaccination status

Desired Qualifications

  • Any other license(s) (as required by federal, state and local laws) to operate a company vehicle
  • Ability to communicate with all scheduled customers in-person, via text, and on the phone
  • Present, promote and sell Safelite promotional items and services to customers
  • Clean customer vehicles after every job
  • Recalibrating automotive safety systems, including trouble-shooting and completing diagnostic testing
  • Proficiently operate Safelite's tools and technologies, including: True Seal, Ezi-WireTM, Glass Table System (GTS), chemicals (as required bv the Safelite Way of Fitting), work order and customer administration systems, and Safelite's handheld Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology
  • Maintains professionalism and passion for providing outstanding customer service and exceeding customer expectations
  • Ability to safely operate company and customer vehicles throughout the workday
