Job Summary
Install aerial fiber optic cables on existing utility poles and infrastructure; perform strand placement, fiber lashing, overlash operations, and cable transfers; install anchors, guy wires, and related hardware; read construction prints/maps/staking sheets and locate utilities; operate bucket trucks and related equipment; ensure safety, complete production reports and project paperwork; collaborate with supervisors, utility representatives, and project teams to complete projects.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of aerial fiber optic construction experience
- Experience with strand placement and fiber lashing
- Ability to climb poles when required (where permitted and qualified)
- Ability to safely work from bucket trucks and elevated work platforms
