Job Summary
Imagination Station seeks Part-Time Experience Team Associates to be the face of the museum, assisting visitors with exhibits (including the High Wire Cycle and Simulator), presenting high-energy demonstrations to audiences of 30-300, and facilitating hands-on activities while conveying meaningful science content to visitors aged 1-100. Responsibilities include explaining exhibit purpose and adaptability to science and everyday life, hosting science-themed birthday parties, representing the center at community events, and ensuring visitors have a meaningful experience. Ideal candidates communicate clearly, engage a diverse audience, and thrive in a team-driven, flexible-hours environment.
Required Qualifications
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to converse with people of all ages and at all levels
- Demonstrated proficiency in the English language
- Proven ability to communicate clearly and in a concise manner
- Ability to stand for 8-hour periods
- Ability to lift at least 30 pounds above waist
- Curiosity, with a desire to learn and share knowledge with others
- Positive, dynamic personality and demeanor is a must
- Able to work and contribute within a team of peers
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
