Job Summary
Lead and support vision science lab operations and rapid prototyping for experimental design and validation. Manage day-to-day lab activities, coordinate in-lab human-subject studies, and build prototypes using Lens Studio, Unity, and related tools. Collaborate with researchers, engineers, and designers to translate research needs into practical implementations, pilot experiments, debug experimental flows, and improve lab processes. Responsibilities include equipment setup and maintenance, participant scheduling and consent management, data integrity, and documenting study sessions and prototype codebases. Required skills include running experimental studies, experience with PsychoPy/Psychtoolbox, image processing (MATLAB/Python), data analysis (R/MATLAB/Python), and proficiency in object-oriented programming with Unity or Lens Studio. Must be able to work from an office in Boulder or Santa Monica and contribute to cross-functional demos and knowledge sharing.
Required Qualifications
- Earned Bachelor’s Degree (MA/PHD preferred) in a related field such as vision science, perception psychology, cognitive psychology, psychophysics, computer science, human-computer interaction.
- Experience with programming for VR/AR using applications like Lens Studio or Unity; Experience with object-oriented programming
