Job Summary
Heavy Equipment Operator II at WM. Operate heavy equipment (bulldozers, scrapers, front-end loaders) at recycling facilities and landfills, perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance, move materials, and follow safety procedures. Schedule: Monday–Friday 5:30am–4pm or 7:00am–5:30pm, plus every third Saturday, at the Savannah, GA landfill. Requires 3 years of heavy equipment experience, ability to work independently, strong communication, and adherence to safety guidelines; pre-employment drug screen and physical required. Prefer bulldozer, excavator, and compactor experience; role involves working in a heavy equipment environment with physical demands and safety considerations.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment
- Be over 18 years of age
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
- Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
- Bulldozer, excavator, and compactor experience is preferred
