Job Summary
Mid-level UX Designer responsible for end-to-end design across product areas, from discovery to delivery and iteration; lead user research (interviews, usability tests, contextual inquiry), translate findings into actionable insights using JTBD thinking, produce wireframes and high-fidelity mockups in Figma, participate in sprint ceremonies, advocate for the user in stakeholder discussions, contribute to and maintain design system components, and stay current with AI-assisted design tools to improve team efficiency. Requires 3–5 years of UX design experience, a strong portfolio with end-to-end work grounded in user research, hands-on qualitative research experience, JTBD familiarity, proficiency in Figma, and experience in agile environments. Nice-to-have: ecommerce/fintech experience, analytics/A/B testing exposure, design systems contribution, and basic front-end awareness. Location: Madrid, Spain with hybrid working arrangement; 60% in office, 40% at home, plus option to work 20 days abroad in approved countries.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of UX design experience in a digital product environment (agency or in-house)
- A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design work grounded in user research
- Hands-on experience with qualitative research methods (interviews, usability tests, contextual inquiry)
- Familiarity with JTBD frameworks or similar approaches
- Proficiency in Figma; experience with prototyping tools (Maze, ProtoPie, or similar) is a plus
- Experience working within agile or iterative delivery environments alongside engineering teams
- Confidence communicating and presenting design work to non-designers, including product owners and senior stakeholders
- Experience contributing to design systems at team or org level
- Curiosity about how AI tools (e.g. Figma AI, generative prototyping assistants) are changing design workflows
