Job Summary
Lead the design, coordination, and operational management of the program's afternoon immersive experiences for an incoming cohort of ~50 ninth graders, balancing strategic program development with direct instruction and facilitation. Shape high-engagement learning structures aligned to Intrinsic's Portrait of a Graduate framework, build and manage project pipelines, work with school leaders and external partners, and oversee schedules, staffing, materials, and logistics. Role is 50% design/build and 50% direct student work; involve piloting, rapid iteration, and development of professional learning toolkits and playbooks. Emphasizes equity, collaboration with diverse stakeholders, and the integration of social-emotional and cognitive skill-building with academic content.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate endorsement preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of secondary teaching or instructional leadership experience
- Proven ability to build operational systems, spreadsheets, trackers, and workflows
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to cultivate partnerships with external organizations, staff, families, and students
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience facilitating professional learning or coaching
- Commitment to equity and justice in education
- Experience with educational technology tools and AI-driven platforms
