Expense Compliance Analyst

Job Summary
Review and audit all employee expense reports submitted in Concur for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company T&E policies. Identify policy violations, missing documentation, duplicate submissions, or unusual spending patterns, then communicate directly with employees and managers to resolve discrepancies or obtain required receipts. Apply consistent judgment when approving, rejecting, or escalating expense items, and escalate repeated or significant violations to management. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of corporate travel, purchasing, and reimbursement policies, and partner with Finance, local HR, and Procurement to recommend improvements to policy language, workflows, and system controls. Support month-end close activities, prepare periodic reporting on compliance trends, and assist with internal and external audit requests.
Required Qualifications
- Proficient Microsoft Office (including Excel & Word) and Windows operating system
- A candidate must possess excellent analytical skills
- A candidate must possess organizational and communication skills
- Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and assignments with attention to detail
- Problem solving, well organized, detailed oriented and accurate
- Demonstrated experience in data reporting and identifying trends
- Ability to participate in and support compliance and policy training initiatives
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Concur or other expense report management
- Experience in a corporate shared services or centralized HR environment
- Understanding of internal audit frameworks
- Process improvement mindset with interest in optimizing workflows and system rules
- Experience in international corporate environments
