Job Summary
Expense Associate for Global Private Bank Finance & Business Management (GPB F&BM) coordinating with regional and India-based Finance teams to perform financial analysis, variance analysis, and management reporting; deliver insights on actuals, budgets, and future outlooks; support headcount and expense allocation processes; modernize reporting packages using tools like Alteryx, Tableau, and ThoughtSpot; prepare budget decks for GPB regions; serve as a backup to regional expense & headcount leads; requires collaboration across cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders; strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; CFA/CPA preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial planning & analysis, finance, accounting, controller, management consulting, management accounting or related function in Financial Services
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial analysis techniques
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders from various departments and levels; excellent interpersonal skills
- Detail oriented, strategic thinker with skills in analysis, data synthetization, and acute decision making
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with ability to present complex financial information to stakeholders
- Experience leading projects, dealing with competing priorities
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
- Professional certifications such as CFA or CPA
- Working knowledge of Alteryx, SQL, Tableau, Anaplan and ThoughtSpot
- Understanding of the P&L and underlying expense drivers
