Job Summary
Expeditor responsible for the flow and organization of parts between departments using computer systems to track inventory, production, inspection, and shipping/receiving. Organize material in the marshalling area and account for shortages before engine assembly. Duties include labeling parts with Job Numbers, expediting/locating material to the production floor or marshalling areas, unpacking new parts, operating an electric stand-up forklift, sorting and distributing parts to correct locations, populating kit carts, updating production status, routing expendables, coordinating with salvage, attending vendor parts and production meetings, and working with supervisors to address part shortages. Maintain a safe, clean work area and adhere to housekeeping and safety/EHS standards; generate routine reports and communicate status; experience with MS Office and ERP systems; familiarity with job-shop processing; ability to speak before groups and write routine reports.
Required Qualifications
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
