Job Summary
Track open purchase orders and incoming shipments against production schedules, identifying items at risk of shortage before they become a problem. Follow up directly with Purchasing and Suppliers by email and phone to confirm ship dates, resolve delays, and expedite critical shortages. Maintain and update Excel-based tracking tools that give Production, Planning, and Purchasing a clear, current picture of material status. Act as the primary point of contact between the warehouse and Production, Planning, Purchasing, and Quality on all material availability questions. Prepare and distribute regular shortage and expedite status updates to relevant stakeholders. Support root-cause tracking on recurring shortages and feed findings back into purchasing and planning processes. This role is 100% on site.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual (English/French)
- Mid-level knowledge of French
- Mid-level knowledge of English
- 2+ years of experience in expediting, material planning, purchasing support, or a similar coordination role
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- 100% on site availability
Desired Qualifications
- Manufacturing environment experience
- Experience with Business Central ERP
- Strong working proficiency in Excel (tracking tools, formulas, filtering/sorting large data sets)
- Comfortable maintaining and improving spreadsheets used by multiple departments
- Comfortable reading work orders, purchase orders, and basic bills of material (BOMs)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confident following up with internal stakeholders by email
- Strong analytical, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple open items and shifting priorities at once
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Continuous improvement mindset with attention to detail
- Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment
