Job Summary
Expansion HW Engineering Manager leading a team of individual contributors designing and developing electrical/electronic parts, subsystems, integrated circuitry, and algorithms. Manages headcount, delivers projects on schedule and within budget, and coordinates with outsourced partners to ensure product quality and cost targets. Requires strong leadership, coaching, and project-management capabilities, plus excellent communication skills to interface with program managers and external partners. Typically reports to MG2 or Director; role involves managing 4–15 direct reports within a single country or sub-region. Located in Taipei with a hybrid work arrangement; focuses on hardware design and engineering solutions across electrical and electronic domains.
Required Qualifications
- First level university degree or equivalent experience
- Typically 5 or more years of related work experience
- 0-2 years of people management experience
- Strong leadership skills including coaching, team-building, and conflict resolution
- Advanced project management skills including time and risk management, resource prioritization, and project structuring
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation/influence skills
- Ability to manage human capital across geographies to drive workforce development
