Job Summary
Conduct assessments, intra-oral photos, x-rays, and all hygiene services independently across multiple community locations in Salem, OR. Collaborate with tele-dentists for chart review, diagnosis, and restorative treatment planning while prescribing antibiotics when necessary. Coordinate referrals for restorative care, manage your own schedule proactively, and handle administrative responsibilities including insurance verification and electronic health records. Serve as the Oral Health Champion by educating patients and community stakeholders, partnering with medical providers to integrate oral health into primary care, and driving patient recruitment through community networking. This part-time role offers a $5,000 signing bonus, malpractice coverage, and continuing education credits for providers seeking independence and community impact.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program
- Current Oregon Dental Hygiene License (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Oregon EPDH license
- CPR certification
- Local anesthesia certification
- Strong organizational, communication, and independent decision-making skills
- Comfort with EHR systems and basic computer proficiency (Word, Excel)
- An entrepreneurial, self-directed approach to patient care and scheduling
