Job Summary
Conduct assessments, intra-oral photos, x-rays, and all hygiene services independently while collaborating with a tele-dentist for chart review and restorative treatment planning. Prescribe antibiotics as necessary, coordinate referrals for restorative care, and perform scoop and fill procedures. Serve as the Oral Health Champion in community settings by educating patients and partners on oral health importance. Manage your own schedule proactively, handle administrative responsibilities including insurance verification and electronic health records, and drive patient recruitment through community networking. This part-time role offers a $5,000 signing bonus, malpractice coverage, and continuing education credits for an entrepreneurial mindset focused on accessible oral healthcare in Salem, OR.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program
- Current Oregon Dental Hygiene License (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Oregon EPDH license required
- CPR certification required
- Local anesthesia certification required
- Strong organizational, communication, and independent decision-making skills
- Comfort with EHR systems and basic computer proficiency (Word, Excel)
- An entrepreneurial, self-directed approach to patient care and scheduling
- High School or better
