Job Summary
Entry-level, part-time Expanded Learning Program Enrichment Leader for YALE Preschool in Santee, CA. Responsibilities include supervising and conducting student groups, delivering active enrichment activities aligned with the District Program Plan, maintaining a safe and supportive environment for PreK–8 students, communicating with parents and staff, monitoring student transitions and field trips, preparing nutritious snacks, providing basic first aid/CPR/AED as needed, and maintaining an organized classroom. Requires completion of high school or equivalent, District Paraprofessional Proficiency Exam certification options (AA, 48 college units, or district proficiency test), 10 hours of annual professional development, and First Aid/CPR/AED certification. Work year is 12 months at 5.75 hours per day, with shift from 12:15pm to 6:00pm; salary classification noted as 21.5. 12 months/5.75 hours per day, located in Santee, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of high school or equivalent
- Prior experience working with youth preferred
- District Paraprofessional Proficiency Exam certification mandated by the State of California for Instructional Assistants (one of: possession of an AA; completion of 48 college semester units; or completion of a District-approved proficiency test)
- Continuing Education Requirements: Completes 10 hours of professional development per academic year
- First Aid/CPR/AED Certificate
- 12 months / 5.75 hours work year
- YALE Preschool ONLY: Twelve (12) semester units in early childhood education, including units in child development, child-family, and community; Child Development Associate Teacher Permit, Child Development teacher Permit or Child Development Master Teacher Permit also qualifies
