Job Summary
Assist with typical dental duties while performing expanded function responsibilities including placing and finishing direct restorations, making temporary crowns, taking impressions, and using intraoral scanners. Conduct digital radiography and CT imaging, explain treatment plans and post-op instructions, and monitor patient comfort throughout visits. Maintain a clean operatory, sterilize instruments, manage dental records, and accurately code appointments using Dentrix software. Communicate effectively with patients and the team while ensuring a friendly, positive attitude. Schedule includes Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM with Wednesdays closed; arrive 30 minutes early for setup. Full-time employees receive up to $470 monthly bonuses, paid continuing education, increasing paid time off, paid holidays, 401K, and free dental care.
Required Qualifications
- Expanded Function dental assistant experience
- Placing and finishing direct restorations (mostly composites, a few occasional amalgams)
- Making temporary crowns
- Taking impressions
- Using an intraoral scanner
- Digital radiographs and CT images
- Explaining dental treatments and treatment plans
- Post op instructions
- Monitoring and ensuring patient comfort for the entire visit
- Maintaining a clean and organized operatory
- Sterilizing instruments
- Managing dental records
- Accurately recording notes and coding appointment information using dental software (Dentrix)
- Communicating effectively with patients and other dental team members
- Friendly, positive attitude with patients and teammates
- Monday: 8-5
- Tuesday: 7-5
- Thursday: 7-5
- Friday: 7-1
- Arrive 30 minutes before first patients to set up and review schedules
