Job Summary
Urgent Care providers in a primary care setting delivering acute care with a blend of urgent care duties. Responsibilities include STI diagnosis and treatment, staple and suture removal, pelvic exams, I&Ds, IVs, nebulizer treatments, and management of URIs, coughs, bronchitis, UTIs, chest pain, abdominal pain, and psychiatric screening and stabilization. Maintain current knowledge related to urgent care and basic primary care topics (hypertension, diabetes, depression/anxiety). Document physical exams, procedures, and in-office medications/prescriptions. Requires DC license and ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays. This is a full-time role based in the Metro Center office in Washington, DC. The position emphasizes delivering evidence-based care via in-person and supported care teams within a growing One Medical network.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed as NP or PA in Washington, DC
- Outpatient primary or urgent care experience (2 of last 5 years) or completed Family Medicine/Internal Medicine/Pediatrics residency in last 5 years
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends
- Ability to work at least 3 holidays a year
- Ability to work two full weekends per month (4 shifts)
- Ability to work in a Metro Center, Washington, DC office
- Documentation of physical exam, procedures and in-office medications/prescriptions
- Interest in using technology to deliver high quality, evidence-based care
- Excellent clinical and communication skills
