Job Summary
Manage patients' acute care concerns in a primary care setting, including STI diagnosis, staple and suture removal, pelvic exams, IVs, nebulizer treatment, and management of URIs, bronchitis, UTIs, and chest or abdominal pain. Provide psychiatry screening and stabilization, maintain evidence-based knowledge for urgent care and primary care topics like hypertension and diabetes, and document physical exams, procedures, and prescriptions. Work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and two full weekends per month. State licensed in Maryland.
Required Qualifications
- State licensed in Maryland, obtained by your One Medical start date
- Practiced at least 2 of the last 5 years in an outpatient primary or urgent care setting seeing all ages (0+), or have completed a Family Medicine or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics residency program in the last 5 years
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
- Ability to work at least 3 holidays a year
- Ability to work two full weekends per month (4 shifts)
- Maintain evidence-based and current knowledge as it relates to urgent care practice and procedures as well as basic proficiency in primary care topics (hypertension, diabetes, depression/anxiety, etc)
- Comfortable with initial management of acute changes in chronic conditions
- Documentation of physical exam, procedures and in-office medications/prescriptions
- Excellent clinical and communication skills
- One Medical participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.S.
