Job Summary
Expanded Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant role responsible for providing acute and urgent care within a primary care setting. Candidates will manage a broad range of concerns (e.g., chest pain, shortness of breath, abdominal pain, URI/UTI, wound care, laceration repair, musculoskeletal injuries, post-hospital follow-ups) with emphasis on time-sensitive needs and same-day/next-day access. Requires maintaining up-to-date knowledge of evidence-based urgent care practices, thorough documentation of all encounters, and collaboration with a rapidly growing clinical team. Must be licensed to practice in California and able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and major holidays; clinic operates 7 days a week from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and is based in San Francisco, CA (Duboce Triangle). Sign-on bonus available and a comprehensive benefits package is provided.
Required Qualifications
- CA medical license or active California license for practice
- State licensing in California
- Practiced at least 2 of the last 5 years in an outpatient primary or urgent care setting seeing ages 18+
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
- Ability to work at least 3 major holidays a year
- Ability to work two full weekends per month (4 shifts)
- Documentation and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR)
