Job Summary
Generate accurate shop and construction drawings for new or modified exhibit components, including detailed setup prints for booth locations, electrical requirements, and carpet layouts. Create 3D parts files for CNC routers and evaluate client blueprints to ensure technical compatibility. Determine initial timelines for production drawings and communicate with stakeholders to collect necessary information. Attend production launch meetings to provide technical expertise and assist on team projects as needed. Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and develop specific products per design requirements. Work the additional time required to meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Drafting experience with AutoCAD, preferably in trade-show exhibits, architectural, millwork industries or equivalent
- Proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD software (2018 version or later)
- Experienced 3D modeling skills using Autodesk AutoCAD
- Experienced 3D solid modeling skill using Autodesk AutoCAD, or other 3D solid modeling software such as Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and can deliver high-quality results with speed and efficiency
- Strong analytical ability for developing construction methods pertaining to the unique and varied projects presented to them
- Due to occasional timeframe restraints, the applicant would be responsible to work the additional time required to achieve his or her assignments
Desired Qualifications
- Prior exhibit industry, or adjacent (including woodworking) industry, experience preferred
- Ability to convey detailed information through elevation plan, isometric, and exploded views using standard drafting methods
- Your best samples of related work (3D models and their associated shop drawings) would be very beneficial
