Job Summary
Exhibit Operations Supervisor at The Freeman Company will lead on-site exhibit installation/dismantle activities, supervise labor crews, and manage project timelines to maintain schedule integrity. The role involves reporting scope changes, coordinating third-party services, maintaining accurate production schedules, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and providing detailed show-file documentation. The position requires effective cross-functional collaboration, strong communication with internal and external stakeholders, and a proactive, client-service oriented mindset. Travel is 25% to 50%, and the role is based in Lanham, MD with in-office and show-site responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3+ years of Exhibit and/or show site operations industry experience
- Strong organizational and problem solving skills
- Ability to effectively communicate to internal and external customers
- Strong leadership, team building, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills, collaboration, independent reasoning, discretion, analytical skills and judgment
- General understanding of show site operations, venue offerings and local union jurisdictions
- Must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly (verbal and written) with internal and external stakeholders as well as demonstrate and apply active listening skills
- Must be a self-starter who thrives in a start-up environment: ability to work independently and take initiative is required
- Must have a strong client service orientation
- OSHA 30-hour General Industry Safety & Health
