Job Summary
Develop and implement exercise prescription for health-related fitness targeting at-risk and diseased populations; provide assessment and supervision of exercise for all ages; conduct graded exercise testing for healthy and diseased populations; counsel participants based on knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, gerontology, and psychology; monitor safety and function of fitness equipment; conduct/group exercise instruction; provide emergency procedures related to exercise testing and training; participate in Health Team planning, community assessment, goal setting, and evaluation of Wellness Programs; may develop conditioning programs to enhance athletic performance (speed, agility, strength, endurance, flexibility, power); support prevention of illness or exercise-related injuries; maintain organized work area; perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science
- CPR certification
- First Aid Certification
- Ability to perform EKG testing and interpretation
- Skill in stress testing desirable
