Job Summary
Guide patients through therapist-prescribed exercise programs and assist with therapeutic modalities and treatment setup. Provide encouragement and education to help patients achieve their goals while building positive, professional relationships with clients. Prepare, maintain, and clean a safe clinical environment, including custodial duties such as disinfecting exercise equipment and cleaning bathrooms. Utilize electronic medical records and other clinic systems to document patient progress. This role requires standing, walking, and lifting up to 35 lbs throughout the day, with potential exposure to viruses and diseases. Work for extended periods at a video display terminal using a keyboard to enter and gather information.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge and ability to demonstrate body mechanics, functional movement, and exercises
- Knowledge and adherence to HIPAA laws and compliance regulations
- Ability to properly transfer patients with use of good body mechanics while maintaining patient safety
- Required to work at an IRG facility and be responsible for your own transportation to and from work site
- Potential exposure to virus, disease, and infections from patients in the working environment
- Ability to perform custodial duties using medical grade cleaning products - including but not limited to - cleaning bathrooms, laundry, and disinfection of exercise equipment
- Work for extended periods of time at a video display terminal and will be required to use a keyboard to enter and gather information
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Health Sciences, or other related field preferred
- Customer service or patient-facing experience preferred
