Job Summary
Guide patients through therapist-prescribed exercise programs, assist with therapeutic modalities, and provide education to help them achieve their goals. Prepare, maintain, and clean a safe clinical environment, including custodial duties like disinfecting equipment and cleaning bathrooms. Build positive relationships with patients while utilizing electronic medical records and adhering to HIPAA compliance. Demonstrate proper body mechanics for lifting up to 35 lbs and patient transfers. This role requires standing, walking, and extended use of video display terminals. Base salary ranges from $17.13 to $20 per hour depending on experience and location.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge and ability to demonstrate body mechanics, functional movement, and exercises
- Knowledge and adherence to HIPAA laws and compliance regulations
- Ability to properly transfer patients with use of good body mechanics while maintaining patient safety
- Required to work at an IRG facility and be responsible for your own transportation to and from work site
- Potential exposure to virus, disease, and infections from patients in the working environment
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Health Sciences, or other related field preferred
- Customer service or patient-facing experience preferred
