Job Summary
Guide patients through therapist-prescribed exercise programs and assist with therapeutic modalities and treatment setup. Provide encouragement and education to help patients achieve their goals while preparing, maintaining, and cleaning a safe clinical environment. Build positive, professional relationships with patients and utilize electronic medical records and other clinic systems. Perform custodial duties using medical grade cleaning products, including cleaning bathrooms, laundry, and disinfection of exercise equipment. Demonstrate exercises including jumping, balancing, and using exercise bands while properly transferring patients with good body mechanics. Work extended periods at a video display terminal entering data via keyboard.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge and ability to demonstrate body mechanics, functional movement, and exercises
- Knowledge and adherence to HIPAA laws and compliance regulations
- Ability to properly transfer patients with use of good body mechanics while maintaining patient safety
- Required to work at an IRG facility and be responsible for your own transportation to and from work site
- Potential exposure to virus, disease, and infections from patients in the working environment
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Health Sciences, or other related field preferred
- Customer service or patient-facing experience preferred
