Job Summary
StretchLab Minnesota seeks Flexologists (stretch therapists) to provide one-on-one assisted stretching in studio settings across Edina. Responsibilities include conducting client assessments, developing individualized stretching routines, applying static, passive and PNF techniques, offering education on stretching and body mechanics, documenting sessions and progress, and maintaining professional rapport with clients. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's or Master's in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physical Therapy, or related field, plus certification in stretching techniques or relevant disciplines; CPR/First Aid is preferred. The role requires adaptability to clients of varying ages and fitness levels, excellent communication, and a willingness to complete the 2-day Flexologist Training Program (online and in-person) with ongoing professional development. The position operates in a wellness studio with flexible hours, including evenings and Saturdays, and includes benefits such as PTO, health benefits, a 401(k), and potential growth into studio management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physical Therapy, or related field
- Certification in stretching techniques or relevant disciplines (e.g., yoga, Pilates, personal training)
- CPR and first aid certification (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt and customize stretching routines to accommodate individuals of varying ages, fitness levels, and physical conditions
- Must be available to go through Flexologist Training Program (20 hours online tutorials, 2 days in-person training, 20 hours practice)
- Flexologist Training Program includes 20 hours of online tutorials, 2 days of in-person/hands-on training and 20 hours of practice (compensated)
- Experience in personal training, physical therapy, or related field preferred
- Fitness certification related background (Massage Therapist, Personal Trainer, Physical Therapist, Pilates/Yoga/Dance Instructor)
- Professional work ethic, reliability, and attendance policies
