Job Summary
Exercise Physiologist with a PhD leading and expanding CPET, CR/PR, and preventive cardiology initiatives within Mayo Clinic. Responsible for interpreting CPET and exercise ECGs, directing CPET/testing operations, and leading cardiopulmonary rehabilitation programs. Shapes program development, innovation, and 3–5 year growth plans; develops formal training programs in CPET and clinical exercise physiology; leads clinical and translational research initiatives and externally funded projects (NIH, AHA, PCORI, industry). Oversees leadership and mentorship responsibilities across Florida and enterprise-wide cardiopulmonary care expansion.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Exercise Physiology or related field
- Clinical leadership experience in cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET)
- Experience developing and leading CPET/CR/PR programs
- Ability to develop externally funded research programs (NIH, AHA, PCORI, industry)
- Strong teaching/mentorship and program development skills
- Strategic growth and program expansion experience
- Strong interpretive skills for CPET and exercise ECGs
- Experience leading clinical and translational research in exercise physiology
- Ability to scale and integrate physiology-driven care models
