Job Summary
Monitor Telemetry, provide participants guidance in safe and proper usage of all fitness equipment, and perform preventive wellness and baseline assessments. Assist participants with equipment orientations and educate inpatients on cardiovascular risk factors, diagnosis, and Phase II Cardiopulmonary Rehab Program benefits. Organize and implement programs for the cardiopulmonary rehab area, attend health fairs and outside events, and conduct blood pressure checks, pulse palpation, pulse oximetry, and blood glucose testing. This role operates within Augusta Health's independent, nonprofit community health system in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Science, Kinesiology, Sport Management or a Fitness Related Field or a combination of education, experience or certification from ACSM or must obtain ACSM within 6 months of being hired
- Current BLS certification
- ALCS certification within 3 months
- ACSM certification within 6 months

- 1+ year of Cardiopulmonary Rehab Experience
