Job Summary
The Executive Sous Chef at Major Food Group is responsible for sourcing, ordering, and receiving high-quality ingredients, developing and maintaining recipes and techniques, and managing a large kitchen team. Key responsibilities include overseeing kitchen service, maintaining equipment and cleanliness, and managing scheduling and inventory within budget. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 3 years managing experience, preferably in fine dining environments, and will demonstrate strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a managing capacity
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in Michelin-starred (1, 2, or 3) and/or NY Times (2 or more stars) is preferred
- Culinary diploma or equivalent in experience strongly preferred
- Team-oriented and positive attitude
- Strong communication skills
